The City of Sydney has five Major Development sites, one of which is Harold Park. Mirvac is developing the Harold Park urban renewal project located in Forest Lodge, near Glebe and Annandale. With the need to meet new targets for inner city housing, the City of Sydney adopted new planning controls for the $1.1 billion project comprising of 1,250 new residences that will become home to around 2,500 people. Homes will be close to light rail, new parks and nearly 2km of walking and cycling paths connecting Harold Park to the wider area.

On the northern edge of Harold Park, the heritage-listed Rozelle Tramsheds is a restoration and adaptive reuse project, which will retain the iconic character of the sheds and their impressive, industrial proportions. The brick façade and the saw tooth roof will be preserved, but beneath the towering glass ceilings the changes to the depot will be state of the art.

The Tramsheds will house a supermarket, market food halls, boutique retailers, cafés, restaurants and gymnasium, as well as 500 square metres of community space dedicated to the City of Sydney Council. On completion, Tramsheds will provide a frequent destination within the future parklands for the residents of Harold Park, the broader inner west community and beyond. It will be a place where the community comes together and where you can gather everything you need under one roof, seeing friends and neighbours in the process.
