The development of Yas Island is an incomparable and exciting leisure and residential environment located in the water ways of Abu Dhabi, with a collection of villages of unique character and identity. The elements of daily life and celebration are contained within several island villages with an integrated mix of uses including residential, shopping, tourism, community, recreation and public spaces. Construction commenced in 2007.

Yas Island occupies a total land area of 2,500 hectares, of which approximately 1,700 hectares will be claimed for development. The Island features attractions such as a world-class motor sports race track for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It also contains the Ferrari Theme Park, Yas Waterworld water park, Yas Mall, Yas Links Golf Course, Viceroy Hotel, Rotana Hotel, Centro Hotel, Radisson Hotel, Crown Hotel, Park Inn Hotel, marinas, polo clubs, apartments, villas and food & beverage outlets which creates a unique international tourist destination.
